Battle of Humans vs Robots!!!
Almost all of us have now realized the technological transformation and accept that there is no limit to where it can go.
What used to be a dream is now a reality...
Along with technology, the way people do business is changing rapidly.
With the mechanization of production lines, there is a trend towards dehumanization in production. The point here is that in our world where the human population is increasing rapidly, the robot population is also increasing rapidly. Many people who cannot see the big picture say that people will be unemployed.
I would like to share with you a particular word of A.Ali SEN, a roboticist (in his own words) in a training I attended in the collaborative robots training organized by TÜBİTAK TÜSİDE;
Robots are not an alternative to humans!
Yes, it is the people who program the robots, follow them and take care of them. In other words, it is not possible for people to be unemployed, and their fields of expertise are changing.
Let me give you an example:
While 5 physical workers are working on a production line, when 2 robots arrive on that line, the manual workers become unable to work on that line, but on the other hand, qualified new employments are made to follow these robots (for software, maintenance and other issues). At the same time, due to an increase in production capacity and productivity, physical workers are shifted to other jobs.
The most important issue to be drawn from here is; new professions are emerging and the need for qualified personnel arises.
Within the scope of the same trainings, company officials stated that they have nearly 400 robots in a training by Arçelik Global company officials. When I asked them about its effect on employment, they said that they did not have any clear statistics, but that there was an increase in the number of personnel rather than a decrease.
So, how should we prepare our youth for the future?
As the world rapidly progresses in digital transformation, we must integrate our education system into it. We should raise our children to be ready for this development. We should work towards this in field selections and self-development.
Together with Industry 4.0, we must implement society 5.0 and keep up with this transformation as a society.
As a result, there is no war, but if there were, mankind would always win this war.
